1 July 2018 Ware Senior Center 1 Robbins Road - Ware, MA (fax) Mission It is the mission of the Ware Council on Aging to identify the total needs of the community s elder population, to link services to those needs and to improve the quality of life for our seniors Important Policy Change As you are aware the meal program here at the Ware Senior Center relies exclusively on donations from patrons and community partners to fund the food purchases. Over the past two years the costs of food items has continually gone up while donations have remained the same or slightly lower at times. This has prompted a need to change the way in which the lunch program is operated in order to stay sustainable. Effective August 1st 2018 the daily lunch service at the Senior Center will be a required fee of $2.75 per meal payable at the front desk on the day of the meal. The meal will also include one coffee and or one milk beverage. Each additional coffee or milk will be an additional $.50, also payable at the front desk. Applications for financial relief for the lunch program can be obtained at the front desk for those in need. This policy change has been approved by the Ware Council on Aging at an open meeting on Tuesday June 19, Senior Center Staff John L. 4 ATTENTION SLOT MACHINE FANS!! Do you ever wonder why certain slot machines seem to be player friendly while others are not? Have you ever heard any of the myths about slot machines and how they work? Do you think if you knew more about how your favorite games work you would be more inclined to have fun, make your money last longer and possibly come out ahead from time to time? All of these are realistic outcomes for an informed slot player. Slot machines are the most popular casino game and they are also the game that is the most mysterious. A majority of slot players have not been educated about slot machine programming, odds and probabilities. GameSense would be delighted to take you on an educational journey into the mind of a slot machine. What games provide you with the possibility of a better outcome? What types of machines offer higher pay back to the players? Which games provide longer play time? What specifics about the way slots are programmed would be beneficial for a slot player to know? GameSense would enjoy presenting to you a comprehensive and fun look at slot machines that is designed to provide player insight. Learn about the games you are playing and how to choose wisely. Our goal is to keep gambling fun and to maximize your entertainment. You deserve to have a good time at the casino and you also are entitled to have access to information that will keep you safe. We believe that a better understanding of how slots work will keep enjoyment levels up and your risk down. Come one and come all. Bring every question you have ever had about slot machines. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to engage in a slot conversation that is not available to most!
