1 RED BARN FARM of N orth f ie l d Thank you for your interest in planning your event at the Red Barn Farm of Northfield. The 100+ year old farm offers a unique, refreshing setting for your wedding. People are at ease here with thoughts of a simpler time. Guests, young and old, are drawn to watch the horses and chickens and many enjoy strolling around the vegetable gardens and the grape vineyard. We will do our very best to make this a memorable day. Listed below are prices and options. Feel free to make requests; this is your special event. 2018/2019 Farm Rental Fee The farm rental fee is $7,000 and includes: Insurance Alcohol on-site permit Setting up tables & chairs Tear down of tables & chairs Garbage and recycling service Historic little red building for bridal party use Use of barn and grounds On-site ceremony Wooden benches for the ceremony site On-site parking 2 restrooms (handicap accessible), Electrical use for band/dj equipment & ceremony site Professional staff to service food and beverages as well as clear away dinner and dessert plates Vintage mis-matched china dinnerware, metal utensils, linen-feel napkins, glass beverage cups & glass water carafes. Rectangle tables (2 5 x 6 x 31 ) to seat 200 people (with 8 people per table), 200 white chairs, as well as extra tables for your use (DJ, s mores, etc). Wooden dessert & guest sign-in/gift tables 7 high top deck tables, 24 x 3 Chalkboard to display your menu Covered, outdoor bar area w/3 keg coolers & 2 large (150 qt.) coolers for use 1

2 Catering We strive to create a menu that is fresh, healthy, and chemical-free for you and your guests. You will notice the difference in the quality and flavor of our food. We use ingredients from seasonally ripe produce, harvested from our chemical-free gardens. We strive to purchase local items when unavailable at our farm. We are happy to guide you with the menu selection to best use the seasonalities of the land to its fullest. We specialize in brick oven pizzas and several Red Barn Farm specialty sauces and spreads, which we aim to utilize in the menu planning. Following are menu options to choose from. Keep in mind these are just suggestions, feel free to make requests. Food is served all you care to eat buffet style, with the appetizers being set out as guests arrive. Children 3 and under eat free, with children ages 4-7 at a reduced rate of $ Service staff hired by you, such as photographers, DJs, bartenders, can eat for $10.00 each which secures no seat. Final head count and menu selection is required 2 weeks prior to your event. Standard menu: $31.50 per person and includes: 1) Beverage service: lemonade, iced tea & water begins when guests arrive. Coffee is put out with the dessert and includes half n half & sugar. Beverages continue through the night. 2) Two Appetizers * Brick oven baked baguettes is included as one of the appetizers, you pick 2 spreads: your choice of basil pesto, brick oven roasted marinara, BLT chutney or hummus. Choose an additional appetizer from the Appetizer section. If a third appetizer is desired, an additional fee of $3 per person will be incurred. 3) Relish and vegetable tray: carrots, celery, radish, olives, pickles, pickled beets, etc. 4) Two Side Dishes * A green salad is included as one of the side dishes (we change the salad throughout the season based on what is available). May & June: Greens & More: mixed greens, fresh strawberries, sliced almonds, gorgonzola cheese lightly dressed in a homemade poppyseed dressing. July & August: Garden Salad: mixed greens with a variety of vegetables from the garden, lightly dressed in a homemade creamy vinaigrette dressing. September & October: Caesar salad: romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese and croutons lightly dressed in a homemade caesar dressing. Choose an additional side dish from the Side Dishes section. If a third side dish is desired, an additional fee of $3 per person will be incurred. 5) Entree: choose one entree from the Entree section. 2

3 6) Chips & Salsa: After a few hours of dancing and celebrating, we will bring out chips and our signature salsa for a late night snack for you and your guests. Appetizers to choose from (pick 1): Tea sandwiches - open faced mini sandwiches adorned with a variety of thinly sliced vegetables, meats and fruits with our signature spreads Meatballs dowsed in our sweet red pepper garlic sauce Chicken wings: brick oven roasted and served with one of our specialty sauces on the side Fruit - a variety of fruit, beautifully displayed Midwestern Platter: a creatively displayed table full of a variety of finely sliced meats, and specialty cheeses served with crackers Baked Brie, served with bread & crackers, with your choice of 2 toppings: 1) Hot Habenero Citrus Jelly sprinkled with fresh cilantro, 2) Savory Roasted Onion & Garlic glaze topped with fresh parsley or 3) local honey and toasted walnuts, topped with fresh berries. Side Dishes to choose from (pick 1): Herbed smashed potatoes - garden potatoes, smashed with skins on with butter and fresh herbs Herbed roasted potatoes - garden potatoes, roasted in the brick oven with olive oil & fresh herbs Smokey German potato salad - sliced potatoes, onions and bacon in a warm vinaigrette dressing Potato salad - Red Barn Farm style, using new garden potatoes and fresh herbs Margarita Pasta - a pasta dish named after our margarita pizza - fresh tomato, parmesan cheese & basil in a light garlic sauce Pasta Alfredo - pasta in a creamy Alfredo sauce Macaroni n Cheese - homemade & oven baked Rice pilaf with vegetables Mediterranean Orzo Pasta - fresh spinach, tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta cheese & basil in an olive oil/balsamic vinegar dressing Sugar snap pea & cabbage slaw - snap peas add a fresh crispness to this slaw Roasted garden vegetables - brick oven roasted & served room temperature Baked beans - made from scratch and slow roasted with our own maple syrup Entrees to choose from (pick 1): Brick oven pizza buffet * customer favorite * (includes 5 different speciality pizzas and gluten free options) Chicken breasts, flame cooked in our brick oven and presented in a specialty sauce 3

4 BBQ boneless pork ribs, cooked to perfection in our brick oven Pork loin, flame cooked in our brick oven Old fashioned meatloaf, cooked in our brick oven and drizzled in a caramelized onion & mushroom sauce. Pulled pork sandwiches, slow roasted in our brick oven Lasagna (meat or vegetarian) with garlic bread, brick oven baked, featuring homemade marinara sauce. Dessert: If you are looking for desserts other than cake, we offer specialty desserts. Please contact us for information. Alternatively, you can bring in your own dessert as long as it is obtained from a food licensed facility. A service fee of $1.50 per person will be incurred for plates, napkins, utensils, cutting, plating, busing, etc. Alcoholic Beverages: We are a beer & wine venue; however, if desired you can serve hard alcohol or a signature cocktail during the social hour part of the reception. Red Barn Farm of Northfield requires a liquor liability insured bartender or bartending service to be hired for your event. The bar can be open or cash (or a combination). You & your licensed bartender/bartending service, are responsible for consequences of alcohol consumption, including but not limited to, adverse health reactions, property damage and third-party liability claims. You agree to indemnify Red Barn Farm of Northfield, its owners and agents, from any and all liabilities which may arise from the service of alcoholic beverages. We will supply the bar structure, 3 keg coolers and 2 large (150 qt) coolers. Anything else associated with serving the alcohol is your responsibility (cups, ice, etc.). During appropriate weather, the bar will be located outdoors; during cooler weather the bar will be inside the barn. Additional options: Wedding ceremony on site: There are several sites to choose from, including the stationary outdoor pergola across from the barn, the large, front yard location or a view of the fields and gardens in the back of the property. If inclement weather alters outdoor ceremony plans, the barn is the ceremony location. Bonfire: includes wood, set up, lighting, fire management and seating: $150 S more roasting: if you are having a bonfire, we can set up a table and provide a garbage receptacle, just let us know. Roasting sticks, s more materials, wet wipes, etc. are provided by you. 4

5 Yard Games: You are welcome to bring your own yard games and set them up. Smoking: One (1) designated smoking area is available located on the cement patio by the restrooms. Please help us keep our grounds beautiful by notifying your guests that smoking is not allowed in or around the barn, on the deck or anywhere else other than the smoking area. Lost & Found: Red Barn Farm of Northfield is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We will keep any items left behind for 1 week after your event to be reclaimed. Decorating Policy Our 1914 barn is beautiful and carries its own magic and awe. Many feel decorating is not necessary, but we want you to let your own style show through as well. You are welcome to hang up any decorations inside the barn AS LONG AS ALL NAILS, TACKS, TAPE are taken down with your decorations. In the event this is not done, we will hold an appropriate portion of the damage deposit to remove such items. We cannot allow the following in the barn: flame candles of any sort, bubbles/bubble machine, birdseed, rice, confetti, glitter, silly string. We cannot allow the following on the property: lighting of paper lanterns, glitter, confetti or sparklers. The beautiful copulas on the barn roof add to its presence, but please know that the copulas do more than just look wonderful, they provide air flow throughout the barn. This air flow is welcome on hot days. However, should there be a heavy rain that chooses to appear, the copulas do allow a small amount of water to get into the barn and drip onto the barn floor (in certain areas). This has not shown to be a problem in the past but we needed you to be aware of its design. Hours: Set up can begin as early as: 8:00 am Music must end at 11:00 p.m. and guests depart at midnight Tear down of all decorations and removal of such items are completed that evening. RBF staff will take care of tables & chairs. 5

6 Parking We have ample parking on-site. We are not allowed to park across the street (at the Northfield Town Hall) or on either road by our property (110th Street or Jacobs Avenue). Bus transport service is convenient if you have many guests staying at hotels. Deposit/Damage Deposit/Payment/Catering Payment A deposit of $3,500 is required to hold a reservation, which is applied to the farm rental fee. This deposit is non-refundable if the event is cancelled within 10 months of the event date. The balance of the farm rental fee ($3,500), as well as a $500 damage deposit is due 30 days prior to the event. All taxes/fees are included. The catering invoice will include 18% gratuity. The catering payment is due the day of the event, preferably prior to the ceremony. The damage deposit will be mailed, partially or in full, back to you within 5 business days.
