1 2014 FELTWEST RETREAT PROGRAMME BREAKFAST Bring your own provisions: milk, cereal, bread, butter, yogurt, honey etc. The kitchenette in each house has fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery. Tea and coffee available in the main hall. LUNCHES AND EVENING MEALS Will be served in the dining room in the Muresk Homestead. Don t forget to bring yummy things to share as there is no catered dessert. RETREAT PROGRAMME Thursday 29 th May 2014 Friday 30 th May 2014 Saturday 31 st May 2014 Sunday 1 st June pm Arrival and registration. Accommodation will be allocated.. Set up workspace 5.30pm Welcome and familiarisation of the complex 6pm Dinner. Felt till late. Breakfast in dorm bring what you need with you. Massages in afternoon as per schedule. Demo by Sue Eslick making cords hollow form and joining. 6.00pm Dinner Breakfast in dorm Mid morning guest speaker Maria Doyle Colour and Texture through 32 Countries Massages throughout the day as per schedule. Demo by Soosie Jobson Safe electric sanding to make prefelts. 6.00pm Dinner Breakfast in dorm Pack up and return keys to Hall for signing out. Final farewells.

2 2014 FELTWEST RETREAT INFORMATION DATE: 29 th,30 th, 31 st May, 1 st June 2014 Registration from 4.00pm Thurs 29 th May Last day - Sunday lunch at venue, pack up and depart. VENUE ADDRESS: Muresk Institute, Spencers Brook Road, Northam VENUE CONTACT: Tel (during office hours) How to get there. Distance from Midland - approx 66kms Map is also included in package Facility Rooms Hall Meals Trestle tables 1hr from Midland, allow 1.5 if the road is unknown to you. At Midland turn onto the Great Eastern Hwy driving east from the corner of Roe Hwy. Drive up Greenmount Hill; go through Mundaring, Sawyers Valley past the Lakes BP Service Stn, through Bakers Hill, to Clackline. At Clackline turn right onto Spencers Brook Road, drive approx 16km you must go past Spencers Brook Tavern on your left, then over a bridge - 100m past bridge turn right onto Muresk Rd Entrance to Muresk Campus, approx 2km on sealed road to large parking area, hall to the left. If you get to Northam on that road you have gone past the entrance. Agricultural Faculty, with student accommodation. The venue is approx 10 kms from Northam. Single rooms with a small desk and chair. Communal showers and toilet in each house. There are steps up to the accommodation but not a ramp. Bring your own bed linen and pillow. NORTHAM IS THE COLDEST TOWN IN WA IN WINTER Large, wooden floor, wall heaters. Kitchenette with sink and hot water. Drying area along the non-rain prevailing wall but no hanging rail. Participants will need to bring own drying rack & pegs. There is a commercial coin operated laundry near the accommodation with drying machines for wet towels. As per information sheet. Bring your own breakfast provisions to have in dorm. There will be a toaster, kettle and fridge available in each house. Lunch & dinner served in the dining room in the Muresk Homestead, follow the crowd! Trestle tables 1.8 m long 1-2 per person will be delivered & set up, members arrange to suit. If you re not using two, make the second table available for others to use. Massage 1 Hour - $ Minutes - $35.00 Sanders If you are going to bring a sander only rechargeable sanders are permitted NO 240v plugged in sanders are allowed. Hearing protection is also required.

3 2014 FELTWEST RETREAT - MATERIALS LIST Materials and wool will NOT be for sale at the venue this year but may be pre-ordered from Nancy who will bring pre-orders to the retreat. Your favourite mug (optional) Torch (Flash light for the Americans amongst us!) Bedding sheets, pillow, doona - NORTHAM IS VERY COLD!! Towels and bathmat Fan heater - Hot water bottle (Optional) Waterproofing plastic for table/s Basic felting equipment Blind, bubblewrap, soap/detergent, bucket, netting, pole, plenty of towels for mopping up, rubber gloves, water container, plastic bags, felting tool - whatever you normally use for felting. Wool tops, silk, yarns, fabric basic felting supplies Drying rack/clothes airer (thereis no drying lines - heaters are high on the wall), they will have to dry on the leeward side of the hall. Wrapped bricks or table leg extenders (Optional) tables have bar across Notepad and/or journal (optional) Camera (Optional) Any favourite CD music to felt by (we also need a portable CD player let us know if you can provide one) Money for coin operated drying machines Umbrella or raincoat, walk ways are not covered, 50 metres to hall. Extra towels if you are booked for a massage. PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO DESSERTS AT MEALTIMES PLEASE BRING SOMETHING YUMMY TO SHARE!
