1 HOTEL GRONINGEN - HOOGKERK WELCOME de Bar & Brasserie Bar/Brasserie de Wit Corry de Wit from Texel became Corry van der Valk of roadside restaurant de Biltsche Hoek. Klaas van der Valk was head over heels for her brisk blue eyes, her enthusiasm and her humor. A er ge ng married in 1951, in 1956 Klaas en Corry coveted the old, dilapidated Biltsche Hoek, on the road from Utrecht to Amersfoort. When Klaas van der Valk passed away at the young age of 44, Corry was forced to take over the exploita on. And Corry managed to turn the company into an even bigger success while raising nine children. In May 2017, Corry van de Valk-de Wit passed away at the age of 90. As a tribute to our mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, the family names the Bar & Brasserie of Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk a er her. Restaurant Restaurant Groen Restaurant Groen ( Green ) symbolizes the beau ful landscape in which the hotel is located. The nature reserve De Onlanden is only a rock s throw away. This stream valley landscape consists of bushes, hedgerows, rough grasslands and motes where water violet and kingcup grow. The reserve is in full development, but green also refers to the fresh, pure and honest produce we use. The green elements have also entered the interior and the house style. And for the real Grunnegers, green/wit is, of course, inextricably linked to the city and the football club FC Groningen. Do you have an allergy? No fy us! 11 WINE Specials Cuvee Mar n St Chinian 2015 per bo le The wine is full and lightly spiced with sufficient complexity, combines well with grilled lamb meat, entrecote and game. Cuvee Marie Lanquedoc Blanc 2015 per bo le This white wine combines perfectly with chicken courses, salmon and whitefish, such as cod and plaice fillet. The names refer to the founders, Martinus and Marie van der Valk. Sparkling wines and champagne Cava Jaume Serra Cava Brut per bo le A beau ful pale yellow. This is a cava with a strong sparkle, but the bubbles remain very subtle. Pleasantly aroma c and fresh. Its taste is round and so, lively and has good sours. Tasteful white fruit with citrus and apple. Incredibly refreshing, pleasantly sparkling wine. Piccolo Jaume Serra Cava per 18.7cl 6.50 A beau ful pale yellow. This is a cava with a strong sparkle, but the bubbles remain very subtle. Pleasantly aroma c and fresh. Its taste is round and so, lively and has good sours. Tasteful white fruit with citrus and apple. Incredibly refreshing, pleasantly sparkling wine. Champagne Pommery Brut Royal per bo le Open, white fruit, apple and citrus, some cream, pleasant smell, a whiff of sweetness, apple and citrus, pleasant sparkle. Nicely elegant. Dessert wine Thomas Barton Sauternes (glass) per glass 6.50 Delicate and subtly sweet, apricots, marmalade, modern style, somewhat agile, not much wood, made on fruit and good sours, pleasant, tasty, not too sweet.

12 WINE White France/ Gasgogne Domaine du Tariquet - Chardonnay Elegant glass of whine, subtlety and clearly made on fruit. Its scent is perfumed and flowery. Its taste has some pear, peach and some apricot, with a bit of vanilla in the wood ripening. Its finale has apple and citrus, nicely fresh and lively. Germany/ Pfalz Anselmann Riesling Fresh green and yellow. Its scent has citrus and apple. Its taste has grapefruit, apricot and apple. Lovely young and fresh with lively sours. This is a great, characteris c, dry Riesling. French/ Bourgogne Barton & Gues er Chablis Not very powerful, but very refined and elegant. Somewhat creamy, nicely full and somewhat firm, with good sours, ripe white fruit, deliciously fresh with a pleasant length. France/ Loire Jean-Max Roger Cuvee C.D. Blanc Sancerre New Zealand / Marlborough Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc Private Bin Citrus, some green apple, melon, carambola, very juicy and supple, good freshness, modern, ripe white fruit and a pleasant length, very seduc ve. Red Spain / Rioja Marques de Caceres Crianza In its smell, strawberry and red cherries with pleasant vanilla in the wood. In its taste, the elegant character is no ceable, as well as the fruit, with red cherries, strawberries, delicious juice and some herbs a er, combined with vanilla. A great structure, complexity, fine tannins.

Its taste has black cherries, with herbs, currants, cedar and plums, with nicely integrated tannins. France/ Rhone Barton en Gues er - Chateau Neuf du Pape Beau fully dark purple. Nicely warm and firm. Great aroma in its smell. Blackcurrants, black berries, herbs, laurel. So and rounded, as well as pleasantly subtle and so. Lovely tannins, length and structure. A wine that would do fine in the basement for a long me. New Zealand/ Marlborough Villa Maria Pinot Noir Private Bin Tasteful, beau ful light red colour. Its smell has red berry and strawberry. Its taste is a very recognizable pinot noir, cherries, a light spiciness, strawberry, pleasant sours, elegant and fresh. Chile/ San Antonio Valley Cono Sur - Organic - Cabernet/Carmenere Splashing fruit, with blackcurrants and cherries, chocolate, freshness in its invigora ng sours, tasteful, so tannins, intense, beau ful. Argen na / Mendoza So ano Reserva de Familia Malbec A clear Malbec, which is always has some spiciness. In its taste, it has coffee, spices, laurel, dark chocolate and blackcurrants. Nicely firm, good ripe tannins and a beau ful length. Very fleshy, with pleasant vanilla a er. Seduc ve and so.
