2 Corporate Events in The Kitchen Experience an event like no other for up to 24 guests. Choose either a half day or whole day class from any of the formats below and we will adjust the menu to suit your timings, requirements and number of guests. You can also enjoy a lively Champagne cocktail and canapés reception with 1 hour evening demonstration. James Martin Classics Learn the tips and tricks behind classic James Martin recipes from his handpicked team and yes there is butter involved in every recipe! The Kitchen s Chef Tutor will demonstrate how James cooks each recipe then it s down to you or your team to see how close you can get to Mr Martin s exacting standards. You can choose from a quick-fire 1 hour experience or a half day or even a full day recreating James most loved recipes. For that competitive edge each dish will be judged for an overall winner of the coveted I cook like James title. And for those who think they re a whizz in the kitchen (or not!), we can set up your very own Omelette Challenge! EXAMPLE MENU CHOICES White chocolate and whisky croissant butter pudding Classic chocolate éclairs Sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce Raspberry mille-feuille with vanilla cream (puff pastry stacks) - suitable for 1 hour class Omelette Challenge - suitable for 1 hour class Ready, steady, bake! This session is designed to get guests thinking outside the box and be creative. After a short cookery demonstration of the recipe, guests cook in pairs to create their own signature bake. Each pair will work from the same base recipe whether a chocolate roulade, salted caramel éclairs or apple, maple and pecan jalousie. We will provide a huge array of additional ingredients to choose from. There will be plenty of help on hand to guide and advise; and the finished bakes will be judged on overall quality, appearance and, most importantly, taste! MENU CHOICES (Remember these are just the base recipes - it s up to your teams to get creative on the day!) Chocolate roulade log with Baileys cream Salted caramel éclairs Apple, maple and pecan jalousie (latticed puff pastry tart) Milk chocolate and hazelnut artisan bars

3 The Kitchen Team Challenge Working in small groups the kitchen team will create a 3 course seasonal menu. We will help you choose the right menu for you and your guests making it as simple or as extravagant as you would like. Sample menus from around the world include: Street Food Team Challenge Each pair (or group of 4 for 13 to 24 guests) will prepare a separate recipe. Teams will work as a brigade of chefs under the direct supervision of the Chef Tutor who will run through each recipe and demonstrate the dessert, and then it s time to get cooking! All of the dishes must be ready at the same time to be served and enjoyed together. SOUTH AMERICAN MENU: Drunken bean quesadilla melts Peruvian seabass ceviche with lime, sweet potato and coriander Chicken, chorizo and red pepper empanada puffs Smoky marinated beef skewers with chimichurri MIDDLE EAST Courgette mint, feta fritters with tzatziki dip Pan fried sea bream with rose and harissa sauce, saffron potatoes Pistachio and chocolate cake with hot` chocolate sauce INDIAN Spiced mackerel recheado with green apple, celery and toasted cumin seeds Garam masala roasted duck breast, potato bhaji cakes, smoked tomato chutney Bebinca (Goan layered coconut cake) with kulfi (traditional Indian ice cream) MEDITERRANEAN Caprese olive, sundried tomato and rosemary focaccia with rocket pesto Lamb rump, salsa verde, smoked paprika potatoes, tenderstem broccoli Espresso chocolate pot with Kahlua cream and almond biscotti wafers Demonstration: Alfajores (coconut butter biscuits sandwiched with dulche de leche) ASIAN MENU: Chicken satay with peanut dipping sauce Teriyaki beef with sesame noodles Thai fish cakes with hot and sour dipping sauce Som tam salad (green papaya, tomato and peanut salad) Demonstration: steamed banana puddings with palm sugar caramel

4 The Ultimate Dinner Party Gather with colleagues, family or friends for exclusive experience in the Cookery School at The Kitchen. Your private chef will prepare dinner for up to 12 guests as you sit round the demonstration table. You will enjoy a range of sharing starters, a delicious main course and an indulgent dessert whist picking up tips and the latest culinary trends from your professional chef. A glass of pre-dinner fizz is included with your meal and an extensive selection selection of wines are also available making for a perfect celebration! 5 Cocktails & Canapés Aimed at winding down, this evening event involves less cooking than our other sessions. After a cocktail demonstration and all important tasting, guests will work in pairs to create a unique infused syrup. Before bottling it up to take home, they will add a splash of their own syrup into a cocktail to enjoy whilst they sit back, relax and watch our chef create a selection of canapés just for them. All about the Gin Professional gin distiller Martin Jennings will explain the history of gin and how it is distilled whilst you sample a series of gin based cocktails. Then it s time to get hands on in pairs (or groups of 4 for larger classes) and create your own gin. The individual botanicals used to make the gins have been distilled from ingredients foraged and grown on the Chewton Glen estate. Each guest leaves with a small bottle of their own blend. For an extra edge why not have Martin turn it into a competition by tasting each gin and presenting Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.
