The property, including an original main building, the hotel and our own farm, has been run by our family for generations; though the philosophy has always remained the same. 19 Since 1889 the Grünauerhof in Wals near Salzburg, once known as Gasthaus zur grünen Au (=Gasthaus in the green), has been pampering its guests with its family athmosphere, its magical setting, and the perfect blend of old and new. The blend of tradition and innovation best describes our family, as witnessed by the on-going building extensions and renovations that we made over the years we built the first 13 hotel rooms. In the 70s we built a new dining room affording up to 100 people. Nowadays (2016) we are very proud of running a property with 64 hotel rooms, seminar facilities, a restaurant with a garden and 650 seats and -last but not least - the Grünauerhof SPA for our hotel guests.
