There may be supply gaps, quality variances and volatile markets. -AZ & CA desert area crops are just about finished for the Winter season. The Central CA Huron district has some Iceberg & Leaf Lettuces now, & Salinas area crops are slowly starting with a few items such as Broccoli, Cauliflower & Romaine Hearts. There have been some quality issues on these 1st new crop items because of recent heavy rains. -Because of hard frosts several weeks back, followed by recent hard rains, there ve been some market fluctuations & product shortages on many produce items. It s generally still a strong market overall, & we re still in the middle of transition from the coast & desert to Salinas. Typical for this time of year, expect some quality, yield & price variations over the next few weeks. 3 Farm Spotlight: Coke Farm Coke Farm has been producing a variety of organically grown fruits and vegetables for over thirty years. With 200+ acres of farm they harvest over 50 crop varieties each year and ship products out daily. In addition to growing and shipping their own produce, Coke Farm also cools, stores, and ships for several smaller local organic farms. Thanks to our mild California climate, they can grow every day of the year, with something unique in every season. Coke Farm has been certified organic since As one of the founding members of CCOF, Dale Coke has long been concerned with the environmental and social issues surrounding organic crop production. Coke Farm is dedicated to providing delicious, healthy, organic produce not only as a service its customers, but also for the betterment of the environment and the health of their hard-working employees. The farm owners are Andrew Brait, Judith Redmond, Paul Muller, Dru Rivers, Jenna Muller, and Amon Muller. Eta sometime this week. -Our main supplier of dry goods is experiencing major issues with their software system causing delays in all shipping. We will be stocking Perricone lime juice in half gallons. -Wildwood Tofu has some equipment issues and is short on Bulk Super Firm Tofu and Baked and Teriyaki tofu.
