It s still a strong market, but some items are easing off. We re also approaching the transition to Salinas; we re hoping for a smooth transition. Typical for this time of year, expect some quality, yield & price variations over the next few weeks. Cool weather in Northern MX slows growth of Cucumbers, Eggplant, Lettuces, Peppers, Zucchini, Yellow Squash & Tomatoes; supplies very limited, strong market. Easter holiday will shut down most shipping mid-week before Easter & cause supply gaps. AZ & CA desert area crops were affected by an early February heat wave, causing crops to grow ahead of schedule, & now they re forecast to finish before the Huron district or Salinas area start up. Overall, quality down & prices up on most items this week. -Limes- All MX grown; between crops currently. Prices sky high. Most all available fruit is running quite large.
