1 Puben Launches Shanghai s Most Entertaining Free-Flow Brunch Explore the Flavours of China alongside Tea Cocktails, Family Friendly Chinese Entertainment & Springtime South Bund Views (Shanghai, 23rd April 2018) Beautiful South Bund Chinese restaurant, Puben is inviting guests to experience what may be Shanghai s most entertaining brunch. A journey of taste that takes Brunchers across the four corners of China, the new Flavours of China Brunch, will be a destination for those looking for regionally inspired dishes served alongside fabulous tea cocktails and traditional Chinese entertainment, a sure wonder for the kids. Priced at RMB250 for 5 dishes (children aged 8 and below free) with the option of limitless drinks & juices; stroll along the refurbished Bund promenade and dine with springtime South Bund views every Saturday from 11.30am 2.30pm Tempting guests to a day-time exploration, the menu highlights flavour profiles that can be found in the North, East, South & West of China or Dong, Nan, Xi, Bei 东南西北 East, South, West to North, as the locals would say. The 5-dish experience starts with a choice of cold appetiser, including the Sichuan 5-chilli Chicken with Peanuts, a fiery dish made with two kinds of Western Chinese chillies, the Deng Long Red Lantern Chilli and Sichuan pepper, Hua Jiao. Other starter dishes include the Eastern style, Sour Plum & Sweet Vinegar Cherry Tomatoes and South Western, Baby Lettuce Shoot Fungus Salad with Yunnan Termite Mushrooms, great light choices to kick off the Saturday brunch session.

2 The next leg on the journey takes guests to the South of China, famous for its parcels of deliciousness known as Dim Sum. A choice of two dishes is made from a list that includes twists on the classics, Char Siu Roast Pork Bo Lo Bau and Goose Liver Xiao Long Bao. A house specialty, the instaworthy, Signature Black Gold Egg Custard Buns that made waves for its striking black bun, edible gold brush marks and delicious duck yolk centre, will also be available as a brunch treat. A famous Cantonese proverb, "Anything that walks, swims, crawls, or flies with its back to heaven are edible" 背脊向天嘅都可以食, inspires the next part of the Flavours of China Brunch menu. Featuring dishes from land, sea to air, guests can enjoy a choice of dish including the delicious, Angus Beef Tenderloin with Chinese Walnuts, braised with Chu Hou yellow bean paste, topped with Northern Chinese walnuts, giving texture and an earthy finish. Meats such as beef are common up North to keep stomachs full during the harsh cold of winter. Another interesting Easterly dish is the Crispy Taiwanese Prawns with Fresh Mango, Kumquat, Pomegranate & Da Lian Wasabi. Although relatively unknown, China is also an origin of the horseradish root made to produce wasabi, famously grown in the Northern Province of Shandong, as well as in Taiwan s Ali Shan Mountain. The next dish, hailing from down south, Guangdong Bi Feng Tang Fried Pork Ribs with Garlic Tea Flakes, is wok tossed using garlic, scallions and red chilli; a mixture of ingredients made famous by the typhoon shelter fisherman who would use this recipe to make their meals during times of heavy rain. As a sweet finale, guests are asked to journey South West, with a choice of dessert made from the renowned Yunnan rose, not only pleasant in appearance but also in taste. Presented as a delectable, Yunnan Edible Rose Puff Pastry that melts in the mouth, or as Da Li Homemade Rose Ice Cream, that comes billowing with smoke. This provincial dish is great for an exciting end-of-brunch photo op, a perfect last stop on the food portion of the journey. Limitless Tea Cocktails, Wine & More A complement to the Flavours of China Brunch is the wonderful selection of tea cocktails. Available as part of a 2-hour free-flow offer priced at RMB 128 per person, with option to splash out for an additional RMB 60 with sparkling Chandon wine. Tea cocktails include Emperor s Cup Light Long Jing infused vodka mixed with fresh lime & sweet osmanthus, Summers in Wuyi Smoky LapSang SouChong infused vodka, shaken with pineapple, coconut & fresh lemon and Pu er the Tea Bitter Pu er infused whisky stirred and strained with Campari, served in a traditional Chinese bowl. Each tea profile is unique and expresses a fragrance and flavour reflective of climate, region and cultivation. For those looking for a more (re)strained experience, for RMB 88, guests can enjoy 2 hours of free-flow fresh juices, soft drinks, Chinese tea and tea mocktails such as the Sichuan Mojito Tea Jasmine tea served with fresh mint, lemongrass and Sichuan chillies, with fiery flavour guaranteed. Family Friendly Experience For some Saturday fun, enjoy the family friendly activities at Puben s Flavours of China Brunch. This ranges from weekly traditional Chinese performances, such as Bian Lian Sichuan Face Changer Magic and the Chinese Zodiac Balloon Artist.
