7 Meeting room layouts Theatre/Lecture Classroom Boardroom Cabaret Hollow Boardroom Banquet U-Shape Boardroom Circle Setting up your room At Friends House we use a combination of rectangular and half-moon tables to provide a layout that best suits your room. This means for example cabaret and banquet rooms may be setup with either round or square tables. 7

8 Audio-visual Supporting your event Friends House offers AV services to meet essential event needs. We brief conference organisers at the beginning of each event on the operation of our AV equipment, which is provided on a self-operated basis during the event. Additional support is available on request during your event to assist with any technical questions or difficulties with our AV equipment. If you require dedicated support throughout your event, it is available priced from 260 per half day event, and 360 per full day event. Please contact our events team for further details. Dedicated support is subject to availability and by pre-booking only. Equipment provided All of our meeting rooms come with one self-adhesive flipchart pad and pens. Most of our meeting rooms have built in audio speakers for laptops which are available to use when an LCD projector is hired, our largest rooms have integrated sound systems, which have PA packages available. Customers choosing our day delegate rate packages will have the following included: Equipment Premium Premium+ Laptop - PA system with package one - LCD projector and screen Audio speakers for a laptop Inc. Wi-Fi access Flipchart pad and pens Notepads and pens Hearing loops Most of our rooms are equipped with either a built-in induction loop or infrared hearing system, we also have portable induction loop hearing systems available, please contact our events team for further details. 8

This incredibly popular option enables guests to mingle and socialise in the same way as a canapé reception would, yet offers a satisfying meal at the same time, please contact our events team for further details. 12 Sandwich lunch menus Healthy choice lunch Our healthy choice lunch follows Public Health England s Eatwell Guide which states a healthy diet should include more fruit, vegetables and starchy carbohydrates, and fewer sugary foods and drinks, this menu is designed to compliment the guide. V Vegetarian X Vegan Special diets: We understand that people coming to Friends House have a wide range of dietary requirements. We do all we can to meet these. Please advise us of any special or known specific dietary needs, e.g. non-gluten containing ingredients / wheat free, milk free, vegan, or known allergies to specific items. Sandwich lunches include the equivalent of one round of sandwiches per person. All of our sandwiches are made in-house and are served with equal quantities of meat, fish and vegetarian fillings on separate platters (unless otherwise specified). Menu items are subject to change and may be substituted without prior notice. All prices include VAT at 20% and are quoted per person/item (unless stated otherwise). 14 THE HOME OF INSPIRING EVENTS Our auditorium, The Light offers stunning contemporary facilities. It has the versatility to accommodate a variety of events from conference, theatre and cabaret style meetings to corporate events, receptions, graduations and exhibitions. Unique in its build, the 1,000-capacity auditorium has over 200m 2 of floor space flooded with natural light, its own entrance and a dedicated receptionist. Bespoke events: We are able to provide an array of services and equipment, from video recording and video streaming packages to translation services and furniture with branded dressings to suit your event. Catering: We provide creative catering solutions for up to 1,000 delegates, which offer you fresh, seasonal, locally-sourced and organic food for a range of dietary needs. Architecture awards: Friends House was designed by Quaker architect Hubert Lidbetter and won the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) bronze medal in 1927 for the best building erected in London that year. In May 2015 The Light was awarded a regional RIBA award. Want to know more?
