1 Welcome to Grovelands Grovelands is a purpose-built care home located in a desirable residential area of. Our main aim is to provide first class person centred care in a homely and comftable environment. Please feel free to call in f a viewing, where you will receive a warm welcome from the care team. Ross Isbell, Home Manager Grovelands is a purpose-built care home, designed to accommodate residential clients and people living with dementia. Completed in 2007, the home is situated in a quiet residential area near the heart of, close to shops, cafes and other services. Grovelands provides a comftable and friendly environment, with pleasant grounds f our residents and their guests. Grovelands accommodation is divided into four areas; three with 15 bedrooms and one with 16 single bedrooms. Rooms are spacious with en-suite toilet and are fully furnished to a high standard. The four areas have separate communal areas, allowing our residents to enjoy cosy and intimate living arrangements. Our facilities include a hair salon and a shop f our residents use. Serving delicious and nutritious meals Grovelands benefits from its own kitchen and catering staff, with meals prepared daily onsite, to suit a wide range of dietary requirements. There are varied menus, ensuring plenty of choice f residents. These are served in the dining room, although residents may choose to have meals in their room if they prefer.

2 What do people say about Grovelands? Nine years ago I had a tough decision to make, the reality was my mum needed residential care. I choose Grovelands and have never regretted it. The staff are very caring, happy and some of the iginal staff are still here, they feel like our extended family. Without them all my mum would not be into her 97 th year. - Resident s son Keeping active We have an Activities Co-dinat who ganises a variety of activities f residents to take part in. We have IT facilities available f all to use including Wi-Fi and Skype, which can be used to maintain contact with friends and relatives that may not live locally. 5 A warm welcome to Grovelands is located in the market town of. A bit of histy Taking its name from the River Yeo, is a market town and civil parish in the district of South Somerset. Mentioned in the Domesday Book as Givele Ivle, and located on an old Roman Road, has a long histy with evidence of a small Roman town having been found on the Westland site. The Black Death killed about half of the population during the 14th century and in 1499, and again later in the 17th century, the town was affected by a number of maj fires. was associated with the glove-making industry during the 1800s and later in the 20th century, became a centre f the aircraft and defence industries, making it a target f bombing in the Second Wld War.
