2 EVENTS & FUNCTIONS THE CHOICE IS YOURS Oriental Teahouse has three private dining areas catering for all types of functions, including business lunches and dinners, cocktail parties, conferences, birthdays, engagements, weddings and any other special event you have in mind. Or if you re thinking big, each Oriental Teahouse, at South Yarra, Melbourne and Chadstone, is available for private functions of up to 00 guests. These impressive spaces combined with our sensational unlimited yum cha menu make for an event to remember. For more information please telephone our Operations Manager on or us at enquiries@orientalteahouse.com.au WHITE ROOM LITTLE COLLINS STREET, MELBOURNE The White Room is an intimate space, with walls finished in a glamorous white gloss and adorned with Chinese tea artefacts. It is separated from the restaurant by a delicate silk screen, yet still enjoys plenty of natural light. It s perfect for an event with select group of friends or business lunches and caters for 10 to 18 people. Minimum spend of $800 Wed to Fri & $600 Sat to Tues.

3 EVENTS & FUNCTIONS EMPEROR S MEZZANINE LITTLE COLLINS STREET, MELBOURNE This impressive mezzanine overlooks the restaurant yet feels private and secluded. Great for cocktail style events for up to 50 people or sit down dining for 0. A mixture of banquette seating, against an impressive exposed bluestone wall and soft plush armchairs make this a great informal area or an ideal venue for a celebratory dinner. Minimum spend for dinner is $1000 Mon to Sat. Minimum spend for lunch is $1500 for lunch Sat to Tues & $2000 Wed to Fri. ZHOU ZHOU SOUTH YARRA Located on the upper level at 455 Chapel st is Zhou Zhou (bar & lounge) a late night establishment with a am license and a point of difference. 6 HAVE WE ALLOWED ENOUGH TIME FOR THIS FUNCTION? Most functions last for between 2 and hours, depending on the type of event, your menu selection and speeches or presentations. We are very flexible about when the time a function ends, after all it s your special event. If you plan on your function finishing after midnight, our normal closing time, simply let us know the duration in advance so that we can properly roster the staff to ensure your guests needs are catered for. WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF WE ARRIVE EARLY OR LATE? We understand that at times you or your guests can run a little late to events. A courtesy phone call to let us know will enable us to prepare for any change. And if your guests arrive early, they can enjoy a drink from our wine list. WILL THERE BE ENOUGH FOOD? Typically our guests are very satisfied with the food available at both cocktail parties and banquets. However, our kitchens are always ready for any extra food that you might like to order. WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE ON A DIET OR WITH SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS? Simply let us know in advance of any special dietary needs, vegetarian requirements or food allergies so that we can ensure appropriate arrangement are made to prepare dishes your guests will enjoy. We have a range of steamed and vegetarian dishes, however depending on your allergy we unfortunately can t guarantee shellfish free, gluten free and nut free meals, because shellfish, glutens and nuts can be found in many of the ingredients we use to prepare our dishes. 8 Terms & conditions 1.Tentative Bookings Once space is booked; a deposit is due within 7 days. If deposit is not received, the space may be released for re-sale. 2. Deposit An initial deposit of $500 or 25% of the total value of the Event (whichever is greater) is payable. This deposit is required to confirm the booking. Progressive deposits may be required for larger events. Event sales will advise you of the deposit schedule.. Event Cancellations In the event of a Event cancelling, the following terms are applicable: All cancellations must be made in writing More than 0 days notice; the deposit is refundable in full Within 0 days of the proposed event date, the deposit is not refundable, but may be transferred once to an alternate date. In the event of that date being cancelled, the deposit will be forfeited. Within 20 days of the proposed event date, the cancellation fee will be 50% of the estimated value of the event. 7 days prior to the event the estimated value of the event will be applicable. -NB: Regardless of the cancellation notice, when an event is cancelled, any costs for a third party contractor agreed by the event organiser, which are not refundable the client will be charged for these costs. 4. Reduction in numbers charges Any decrease in catering numbers in excess of 20%, less than 7 days prior to the event will incur a charge of the per head catering component. 5. Menus and Prices Every endeavourer is made to maintain menus and prices as printed, but these may be subject to change at management s discretion from time to time. 6. Final Details a. Menus, beverage arrangements, audio visual requirements, room set ups, starting and finishing times must be confirmed in writing 5 days prior to the Event. 7. Guaranteed numbers Are required 5 working days prior to the Event and charges will be based on guaranteed numbers or final head count, whichever is greater. 8. Event Room The organiser agrees to begin the Event and vacate the designated Event space at the scheduled times. In the occurrence a Event should go beyond the agreed finishing time, Oriental Teahouse reserves the right to impose a labour charge for each hour the Event space is occupied. 9. Other Events Oriental Teahouse reserves the right to book other Events in the same Event room up to one hour before the scheduled Event commencement time and one hour after the scheduled Event finishing time. 10. Payment All Event accounts are to be paid for in full () working days prior to the Event unless alternative arrangements have been made with Oriental Teahouse Management. All approved credit arrangements require full payment within (14) days of the Event. 11. Room Hire In the event that your party continues past the agreed time frame, you will be charged a room hire fee per hour
