The picturesque surroundings inspire the modern food offering with an emphasis on creative canapés + an interactive sit down menu created from fresh local produce. We hope to see you soon!

4 THE MENU On arrival, your guests are welcomed with canapés to enjoy whilst drinks are served. For the main meal, our menu allows your guests to interact by enjoying share plates + platters which gives guests a taste of everything on your menu that you have selected. We invite you to select one food + one beverage package for your event. Alternatively, you can celebrate with a canapé style event (please ask us for the separate package). You and your guests will be served Champagne from a 1.5 litre bottle, it creates great entertainment, and is a fun way to celebrate the special occasion. $8.00 per person (upgrade available with beverage package three only)

16 MOBY DICKS VENUE CHARGE For any event held at Moby Dicks Whale Beach a $ fee is charged. 17 CANAPÉ STYLE EVENT Moby Dicks can also offer you a canapé style wedding or event for up to 200 guests. The canapé style package allow you to include interactive menu stations and additional styling options. Moby Dicks offers its signature style with rustic furniture, flowers, lounge areas + seating. 18 OYSTERS + SASHIMI An optional extra which is unique and enticing to guests is an Oyster + Sashimi Bar. Surprise your guests on arrival with an Oyster + Sashimi Bar serving freshly shucked oysters + sliced sashimi with a selection of condiments. Our chefs will also share their knowledge of our local seafood. (Gluten Free) $18.00 per person (can be selected for a minimum of 50 guests only, does not need to be based on your total guest numbers)

19 CARVERY Carvery presented and served at Moby Dicks later in the evening. A fun + interactive food station with a chef freshly carving your chosen meat, served w rye + white sourdough buns and condiments. 23 ADDITIONAL STYLING Moby Dicks Whale Beach includes its signature styling + theming and you are welcome to add to this with our Additional Styling options. We offer a large range of additional products + styling options to compliment the Moby Dicks venue - flowers, candles, lanterns, coloured linen napkins, placemats, bunting, wishing well + more! Our team can assist you with our Additional Styling Package please contact us for more information.

24 MOBY DICKS TERMS + CONDITIONS Capacity Moby Dicks has a seating capacity of 150 guests seated, and 200 for a stand up canapé style event. Duration All events at Moby Dicks have a duration of 5 hours, and must conclude by 11pm. Moby Dicks allows you to select any time frame for your 5 hour event - we suggest Lunch Events from 12pm - 5pm and Evening Events from 6pm - 11pm. You do have the option of extending your reception for a maximum of 1 hour (must conclude by 11pm), the cost is: Beverage Package One - $ $13.00 per person, Beverage Package Two - $ $17.00 per person or Beverage Package Three - $ $30.00 per person. This includes unlimited drinks in this time. Event days You can choose any week day, Saturday or Sunday, lunch or dinner event for your event at Moby Dicks. We do offer events on some Public Holidays, please ask for a quote. Deposit, payment terms + agreement form To confirm your booking we require an initial security deposit of $ (credited towards the final account) and a signed + completed copy of the Security + Agreement Form. This is required within 7 days of making your reservation. Moby Dicks holds the right to cancel any bookings not held with a security deposit and completed Security + Agreement Form. 50% of the minimum spend is due 60 days before your event. Full payment for your event is due 14 days prior to the event date, no later. Payment by cash, direct debit or bank cheque incurs no surcharge. Any payments of $500 or more paid by credit card incurs a 1.5% surcharge MasterCard, Visa or a 2% surcharge for American Express only. Any extra charges or outstanding additional invoices must be paid in full prior to departure at the end of your reception. Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard or American Express (Surcharge for anything $ or more), Cash or Bank Cheque. Moby Dicks venue charge For any event held at Moby Dicks $3, is charged. This includes the exclusive use of Moby Dicks, flower displays, cost of staff + styling. Security Organisers/Hosts are financially liable for any damage sustained, or loss incurred to Moby Dicks property, fixtures or fittings, through their own actions, those of their guests, sub-contractors and contractors. Credit Card details are required at the time of your booking to cover any damages that may occur. The Security + Agreement Form will be supplied to you on the day of your booking to fill out and return to the Event Coordinator within 7 days. Credit Card details are the only form of security accepted. Final numbers + menu selection The guaranteed number of guests attending your event is required at least 21 days prior to the event for catering and staffing needs. Once final numbers are given this will be taken as confirmed. The final invoice will be issued to you 21 days prior to your event. Catering will be provided for this number and this will be the minimum charged irrespective of last minute cancellations. All final food + beverage selections are also required at least 21 days prior to the event. All food is subject to seasonal change however notification will be given for this.

25 Cancellation policy Whilst we understand, due to unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary to cancel/postpone your event, the following must apply: All cancellations or change of date incur a loss of full deposit. No credits will be given for change of date. Any cancellation made 60 days or less prior to your event, will incur a loss of 50% of the minimum spend. All cancellations made within 14 days of your event will incur a loss of all monies due as stated on your invoice. Cancellations must be confirmed to Moby Dicks in writing. Due to unforeseen circumstances, extreme weather conditions or accidents, Moby Dicks reserves the right to cancel any booking and refund any deposit or payments made. Additional (supplier) meals A main meal + beverages for entertainers, photographers and videographers must be $60.00 per person. Under 18 s meals The charge per person for guests under 18 years including the food menu package + drinks is $60.00 per person. For kids requiring children s meals + drinks, the cost is $25.00 per person. For little ones requiring no food or beverages there is no charge. Prices Moby Dicks makes every effort to maintain prices, however they may be subject to alteration prior to your event due to food and beverage price increases. However we will guarantee that any increase will not exceed 7% of your chosen package. All prices are inclusive of GST. Minimum spend A minimum spend is required for any event held at Moby Dicks. Monday - Thursday event (Lunch or Dinner) from September - April: $10, Friday - Sunday (Lunch or Dinner) from September - April: $15, Events (Lunch or Dinner) from 1st May - 31st August: $10, Should your guest numbers fall short of the minimum spend, the full minimum tariff will be charged. The Moby Dicks Charge amount of $ can be used to make up the minimum spend amount. Alcohol and decorum Moby Dicks is a fully licensed venue. No BYO beverages are permitted. No drinks on consumption are allowed. It is your responsibility to ensure the orderly conduct of your guests. All beverages are subject to seasonal change however notification will be given for this. Due care Whilst our staff will take care, no responsibility will be taken for damage or loss of goods, equipment or merchandise left on the premises prior to, during or after the event. The following items are not permitted at your event: wax candles, confetti, rice, streamer poppers, flower petals, or sequin type scatters eg. stars, hearts. Public liability insurance Moby Dicks does hold public liability insurance HOWEVER all external suppliers will be required to have their own Public Liability Insurance. Moby Dicks public liability insurance is very specific to our venue and fit out. No harm or damage to guests caused by any external supplier equipment, styling decor, furniture or goods are covered by Moby Dicks Whale Beach.

26 Decor + styling All major furniture items, fixtures + fittings must remain as styled + positioned by Moby Dicks. The Moby Dicks team are only too happy to offer the complimentary placement of your bonbonnieres and place cards. Anything additional must be discussed and approved by the Event Coordinator prior to the reception. Moby Dicks offer an additional styling service to suit your wedding or event. Equipment hire Moby Dicks has established relationships with professional hire companies and recommended suppliers to meet all your equipment needs and services. External contractors All external contractors and hire must be advised to Moby Dicks 14 days prior to your event and are subject to approval by management. Moby Dicks can apply limits or time restrictions on the contractors. Please note: we do ask that your florist is bumped in no later than 2 hours prior to the start of your event and that bump out times are to be discussed with the event coordinator. Entertainment/music Moby Dicks is only too happy to offer some suggestions for your music entertainment. All equipment must be supplied by your hired band or DJ as Moby Dicks does not have facilities for this. Whilst we understand that you are wanting music at your event, music sound levels must be kept at a particular pitch level. Please ask that the band/dj to contact the Events Team, to confirm this level. Decorations Nothing is to be nailed, screwed, blue-tacked or adhered in any way to any wall, door or other part of Moby Dicks. All decorations must be approved by the Moby Dicks team prior to the reception. Hanging items from the ceiling You are welcome to hang items from the existing hooks on the Moby Dicks ceiling. We can hang the items/goods for you at an additional cost, please ask us for a quote. Alternatively, if you decide to hang the goods yourself Moby Dicks is not liable for any falls/injuries that might occur to any person or damage of any items/goods. All hanging items must be approved by the Event Coordinator prior to the event. Tastings Moby Dicks does not offer food or beverage tastings. However, the menus at both of our cafes, The Boathouse Palm Beach, The Boathouse Balmoral + The Boathouse Shelly Beach reflect the style we bring to suit your wedding or event. Smoking In accordance with the NSW Health and Hygiene laws, smoking is prohibited within Moby Dicks and surrounding areas. Guests will be directed to a designated smoking area outside. Gratuity Gratuities are discretional and are appreciated by Moby Dicks staff. Indemnity Moby Dicks guarantees the use of the freshest ingredients and ensures that food is prepared under the most hygienic conditions. However no liability is taken by Moby Dicks for any latent defect in any product used.

27 Parking All guest parking is situated on Whale Beach beachfront council car park, please ensure all guests park here which is entered down The Strand. Access to Moby Dicks is up the set of stairs to the left of Moby Dicks, two doors along. Food allergies Please advise details of guests with food allergies when confirming final numbers. Whilst the chef and kitchen staff will do their utmost to ensure the said allergen is not in the meals prepared, we cannot guarantee it as our kitchen does use a wide variety of ingredients on a daily basis. Surprises Moby Dicks Whale Beach cannot be held responsible for the outcome of any surprises to be held and organised prior to, on or after your wedding/event day that has been organised by the bride, groom, party host, friend or family member known to the hosts. Moby Dicks Whale Beach will do everything it can to ensure that any special surprises or organised presents unknown to the party hosts can be carried out. Fireworks Moby Dicks Whale Beach does not allow fireworks within its venue, or around its surrounding areas. Without knowledge of Fireworks Moby Dicks Whale Beach will charge a $ fee for breach of this. Fireworks organised without maritime + council knowledge, holds much heavier penalties. Early arrival of guests Moby Dicks Whale Beach weddings + events begin strictly at the time agreed by Moby Dicks and the host, as stated on your Final Details form. For any guests arriving early and before this time, a surcharge will be charged to your Credit Card. The fee for this is $500 + $15.00 per person for every half hour that guests turn up early at Moby Dicks. The following also applies: The above fee will apply to ALL guests that attend your wedding or event (total number of guests on your Final Details form), not just the early arrivals The above fee will be charged immediately when guests arrive early that day. This also applies for Ceremonies held at Moby Dicks Whale Beach onsite. Ceremonies are offered 1hr prior to your reception beginning at Moby Dicks, this strictly means that guests can arrive from that time, not any earlier. For example, if the ceremony time is 4-5pm, this means guests can start arriving from 5pm (only) not any earlier. We then recommend your ceremony start half an hour later, for example at 5:30pm. Flowers As covered in the hire fee, Moby Dicks includes a number of flower displays throughout the venue for your wedding/event. Moby Dicks can not guarantee a particular type of flower/colour due to the nature of seasonality + availability. Cleaning fee A cleaning fee will be charged, at the discretion of Management, should the venue premises be left in an unacceptable state.
