10 ABOUT US The LAWineFest is in its 12 th successful year. This ppular event blazed a trail in LA t bring wine and peple tgether in a fun, inviting and accessible way. Nw a lcal institutin, we re knwn t deliver a sun-kissed event that balances fun, explratin and educatin. This year we are hnred t begin a new cllabratin with A Stnes Thrw Winery in presenting the OCWineFest at San Juan Capistran. A Stnes Thrw Winery was riginally funded in 2002 ut f Trabuc Canyn and perated as a small butique winery called Hamiltn Oaks Vineyard and Winery Inc. In 2012 the winery pened a secnd tasting rm as Hamiltn Oaks San Juan in the histric Swanner Huse in San Juan Capistran, n the 3-acre prperty amngst the range grves. In 2016 a grup f frmer Marines and retired Marines frmed a new partnership with Giracii Vineyards and Farms t establish A Stnes Thrw Winery. The winery is thrilled t have the expertise f the Giracci Team and the supprt f sme-hard charging Marines. Jel M. Fisher. Ph.D. launched the LAWineFest in 2006 and added the Santa Clarita WineFest in He cnsults n a variety f wine events and wine brands. Dr. Fisher is als the Smmelier fr the Escffier Assciatin f Suthern Califrnia, a regular wine hst fr CRN Radi s What s Cking Shw and has been an adjunct instructr at the Le Crdn Bleu Cllege fr Culinary Arts. He is a member f the Sciety f Wine Educatrs, The Circle f Wine Writers (UK), and the Internatinal Federatin f Wine & Spirits writers, and is the authr f the Wine Wrk Bk. He has been a wine clumnist fr several publicatins, including, the Culinary Cnnectins f the Chefs de Cuisine, the Beverly Hills Curier and mre.
