Those who like to be in the city will appreciate our central location in Basel and our modern infrastructure. We have direct public transportation between our location and Basel s train stations and Messeplatz (Exhibition Center) plus paid automobile parking. And for those who want fresh air and some outdoor space, we are located in our own private park and have eighteen light-filled meeting rooms. A small bonus: On warm summery days, we can easily move your meeting out under the leafy tree canopy in our surrounding park. Something successful meeting organizers have always known (but do not talk about, so as not to disparage the speakers): in great part, the success of a meeting or conference stands or falls with the quality of the food and drink. That's why we've come up with a special way to achieve this for you: Consider delegating these details to our attentive and friendly professional catering staff, who have already put together attractive food and drink packages. Our range of light two- or three-course sit-down lunches and standing lunches are renowned for putting people in a good mood. They include selections for meat lovers, fish connoisseurs and vegetarians. Our break buffets in the Park are practically a cult!. To help your guests or meeting attendees get to know each other, there is nothing better than a progam that includes a variety of activities. Also, short periods of recreation and small tours refresh the brain, create a good mood and foster new ideas! Feel free to ask us help you create a varied and even exciting meeting program. 4 Our Attractive Meeting Packages Our Day Package from CHF per Person this includes the following services: Rental of meeting room equipped as follows: flipchart, whiteboard, presenter s lectern, W-LAN for computers, paper pad with pen, in-room mineral water service. Welcoming coffee service with breakfast rolls. Morning coffee break at our breakfast buffet: coffee, tea, fruit juices, croissants and fresh fruit basket. Lunch - 3-courses: main, salad, dessert (main course choice of meat or vegetarian dish). Service incudes mineral water, coffee/tea. A stand-up buffet lunch is also available as an alternative. Afternoon coffee break at our fine pastry buffet: coffee, tea, fruit juices, cakes or tarts, various sweet snacks, fruit basket. Our Overnight Stay Package from CHF per Person This includes all items in the Day Package, plus the following: One night single occupancy. Includes breakfast, standard overnight guest services and a Mobility Ticket for free public transport in Basel. Price excluding city room tax. Alternatives: Would you like a larger than standard room for your meeting? Would you like to book a package for less than 5 persons? 7 Our Comfortable Hotel Rooms After a long meeting day, our quiet, well-furnished rooms offer a place to refresh yourself. Most of our single rooms have a spacious king size bed. What a nice place for a beautiful dream! Would you like a bit more space in which to relax on your own? If so, we can recommend our double rooms or junior suites. Each of our rooms is a bit different, but they share one important thing: our tranquil park protects them all from the bustle of the city. For venturing out in the city, each guest receives a Mobility Ticket for free use of public trams and busses. You might also want to use our Hotel Bar as a meeing point and place to have a drink and a chat with other guests. But if you would just like some time alone before bed, our hotel rooms are comfortable and equipped with telephone, TV and free Wi-Fi. And in the morning please enjoy our cozy breakfast buffet, included in the room price. PS: If you want to get a little indoor exercise, we invite you to use our complimentary fitness room. At the Spalentor major intersection, go left on Missionsstrasse to Missionsstrasse 21 (across the street on your left). Enter at Einfahrt Parking. Public Transportation From Bahnhof SBB (Swiss train station): take either Bus Nr. 30 to the Spalentor stop, and walk ca. 300 steps to Missionsstrasse 21, or Tram Nr. 1, direction Dreirosenbrücke to the 5th stop, Birmannsgasse. Then walk down Birmannsgasse to Missionsstrasse. Go left to Missionsstrasse 21. From Badischer Bahnhof (Basel s German train station) or from Messe Basel: Take Bus Nr. 30 to the Spalentor stop and walk ca. 300 steps to Missionsstrasse 21. From EuroAirport Basel/Mulhouse: Take Bus Nr. 50 to Bahnhof SBB, then take Bus Nr. 30 to the Spalentor stop. Walk ca. 300 steps to Missionsstrasse 21. Seite 8

9 Please note these important reservation details! Terms and Conditions Meeting / Group Reservations Meeting Room Reservations Definitive Terms: We guarantee your reservation. Please notify us, no later than 48 hours before the event, the exact number of persons expected. If fewer people participate than expected, you will still be charged for the number you reserved. Meeting Room Cancellation Costs 90 to 61 days before event: CHF administrative expense. 60 to 31 days before event: 50% of the room rental. 30 day or less before the event: 100% of the room rental. 3 days before event: 100% of the total scheduled costs for the event. Organisation Schedule for arrangement of details, including: - Meeting room physical setup - Technology to be provided - Refreshments/coffee breaks - Meals - Hotel rooms Please arrange these details with us at least 10 days before the event. Meeting Room Physical Equipment Per meeting room (not including additional breakout rooms): flip chart, whiteboard and speaker s lectern. Additional physical equipment charged separately according to our price list. Meeting Room Availability Specific room assignments are tentative and may be changed at any time by us. Invoice Basis The agreed mininum number of guests plus any additional guests and their related actual consumption. Meeting Packages: Unused services are non-refundable and their costs cannot be reallocated to cover other costs. Methods of Payment Cash, Debit Card or Swiss Postcard, or consult with us about paying by credit card or paying after receipt of an invoice by mail. Seite 9

10 Prices Prices are subject to change without notice. Right to Cancellation by Hotel Bildungszentrum 21 We reserve the right to withdraw from a reservation contract without compensation if it is determined that, after signing the contract, the type of event does not meet with our ethical guidelines. Please feel free to ask for guideline details.. Hotel Room Group Reservations Hotel Room Cancellations 3 Months Prior: the complete group reservation can be cancelled Days Prior: 50% of the rooms can be cancelled Days Prior: 25% of the rooms can be cancelled Days Prior: 05% of the rooms can be cancelled. Less than 2 days before the event, no room reservations can be cancelled without cancellation costs. Guest no-shows will be billed. To avoid any misunderstandings, we kindly ask you to inform us of any cancellations in writing, either by post or electronically. Availabilty We reserve the right to unilaterally determine availability. Invoice Basis The minimum number of guest rooms that you have confirmed to us in writing 48 hours or more before the event, plus any guest rooms exceeding that minimum. Methods of Payment Cash (CHF, Euros or US Dollars), EC Debit Card, Swiss Postcard, or after consultation, possibly by credit card or by payment after receipt of an invoice by mail. Prices Prices are subject to change without notice. Miscellaneous If an exceptional need arises, any special cleaning will be charged at CHF per hour.
