Up on the big screen learn a little of the Hunter s wine heritage, Australia s oldest wine area. See the grapes being harvested, and being crushed at the on site winery and take a lesson in winemaking. The Cellar Master then takes delegates through a wine tutorial, covering aspects such as structure, colour, and what to look for. A true sensory overload. HANDS ON Cooking Class Join our Executive Chef Phil Collis. (Min 8 people) This is a hands-on class and all dishes are cooked from scratch using local produce. Just follow the M1 north, take the new Hunter Expressway exit and then the Hermitage Road exit. HUNTER VALLEY RESORT is nestled among its own 49 year old vineyards incorporating an all day Matilda Bay Brewhouse, quality 4 star accommodation, wine tasting cellars, horse riding, wine school, wine theatre, cooking schools and an onsite winery. Included in all our rates is a comprehensive tour of the vineyard. The tour takes guests through the entire wine making process, from grapevine to the final product! This is followed by a private structured wine tasting with our Cellarmaster where the wines are presented and tasted. All rooms feature timber cathedral ceilings, full size bathtub & shower, Flatscreen TV/DVD, ISD/IDD Telephone, Hairdryer, Individual whisper-quiet reverse cycle split airconditioner, Tea and Coffee making facilities, and refrigerator, Iron and Ironing board, Writing desk and Clock Radio.
