1 Welcome As an alpine restaurant, Blatten exists since the beginnings of tourism in Zermatt and it has kept its traditional appearance. Initially, around 1850, it was a little teahouse run by the family. Since the early 1950s, the mother Ludowika has been the hostess of the place for decades. The Taugwalder family has a tradition of both gastronomy and mountain climbing. Indeed, Leander himself met his wife Simone on the top of the Matterhorn. Since more than 35 years, we, Leander and Simone, run this place with passion. The young generation, our daughter Sarah with her husband Hans, assist us actively. Tradition without living in the past, roots without attachment, a warm atmosphere and creative vivacity, these are always our goals, so that we can contribute to the success of your holidays. Benvenuti Il ristorante di montagna Blatten esiste fin dai primi tempi del turismo a Zermatt e ha conservato il suo aspetto tradizionale. All'inizio, verso il 1850, era una piccola sala da tè tenuta dalla famiglia. Dal 1950, la madre Ludowika è stata l'ospite di questo stabilimento per parecchi decenni. La famiglia Taugwalder ha una tradizione non solo di gastronomia ma anche di alpinismo. Difatti, Leander ha incontrato sua moglie Simona in cima al Cervino. Da più di 35 anni, noi, Leander e Simona, gestiamo questo ristorante con passione. La giovane generazione, nostra figlia Sarah con suo marito Hans, ci aiutano attivamente. Rispettare la tradizione senza vivere nel passato, mantenere le radici senza immobilismo, ricercare un ambiente caloroso ed una vivacità creativa, tali sono da sempre i nostri obiettivi per poter contribuire al successo delle vostre vacanze.
