4 Charcoal Tandoori (BARBECUED DISHES with Rice included) The Tandoor is a traditional style clay oven of the North West Frontier. All dishes are served with accompaniments of rice, crisp salad, and a special tandoori sauce of your desired strength. TANDOORI MIXED GRILL A quarter tandoori chicken, seek kebab, king prawn, chicken tikka and lamb tikka, accompanied by rice, salad, sauce and freshly baked nan of your choice. CHICKEN TIKKA KEBAB Boneless chunks of chicken, marinated in yoghurt and spices, then cooked in the clay oven. TANDOORI SEEK KEBAB Minced lamb mixed onions, herbs and Pakistani spices, grilled on charcoal. 6 Balti Cuisine Balti dishes orginated from the northern most part of Pakistan. The Balti syle of cooking differs from the traditional curries in that they are slowly stir-fried in clay pans, producing a drier, slightly hotter, homestyle flavour. SWEET AND SOUR BALTI An unusual combination of sweet and sour flavour with a creamy texture makes this dish one to taste. This is a mild to medium curry. BALTI TIKKA MASALA A traditional Balti dish. This is the Jahangir s version of the U.K. s most popular curry dish. This is medium to hot curry with onion and mixed peppers. BALTI WITH LENTILS This is a similar dish to Dhansaak and is made with Balti spices. This is a medium to hot curry. BALTI SAG This combination of tender lamb and spinach with savoury spices, creates a typically authentic dish from the region of the Punjab. BALTI FISH 9.50 Fillet of fish is marinated and cooked in Balti spices, then served in a sauce cooked with aromatic spices, yoghurt and nuts giving a superbly authentic flavoured fish dish. MAHARAJA SEAFOOD BALTI This balti adaptation of an old favourite cooked with king prawn, prawns and fish has to be tasted to be believed. Fortunately for lovers of fine Indian cuisine, the Jahangir has certainly proved a match for the legendary Prince from whom its name derived. The first Jahangir opened in Dundee and, is soon to celebrate its 15th anniversary, it has become one of the most popular in Tayside. Now the flavour of the East and the sumptuous surroundings Dundee restaurant goers have come to love are available for the first time to diners in the Kingdom of Fife. The unique atmosphere of the well-loved Dundee establishment has been retained for the new Jahangir at 116 South Street St Andrews. Delicate Pools of light, like sunlight filtering through leaves in a forest, illuminate each table, creating an intimacy which makes the Jahangir a wonderful restaurant for lovers as well as family and friends. The Jahangir s service has earned itself a fine reputation over the years and is something of which customers are very appreciative.
