1 Bangladesh, a land of many rivers, spread across our continent like a net, There are more rivers here than in any other country, the most famous of these is The Surma River, which, of course, runs throughout the Surma Valley. There are many stories and legends associated with this area. One of which, Hazrat Shahjalal (R:) along with 360 companions crossed the river by flattening Jaynamaz (the prayer mat). This gave the river it s name The Surma. The Surma Valley Restaurant is situated in the beautiful Avon Valley, in the heart of the New Forest, on the Ringwood to Salisbury road, and on the outskirts of the ancient town of Fordingbridge.
